As part of our expanding Mini product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch our Stage 2 intercooler upgrade for Mini Cooper S R56 suitable for track or fast road use. In order to ensure there is no noticeable loss in performance during extended periods of hard driving, we have developed a larger, freer-flowing intercooler that is a direct replacement for the smaller and more restrictive OEM item.

Our solution to increasing the intercooler’s size and performance within the confines of the limited space behind the bumper is based upon a stepped core design. This offers a huge increase in overall capacity in comparison to the original intercooler, as well as a significant increase in frontal area over standard, which allows it to make the most of the air flow provided.

Together with our high-flow, moulded one-piece cast end tanks and an internal air diverter to ensure flow is directed correctly and efficiently, the AIRTEC Motorsport intercooler offers much greater efficiency and volume over standard.

At CTS Turbo we are proud to announce our new air intake system for the R56 N14 & N18 range of vehicles.  This premium Cold Air Intake kit was designed to work specifically for both Euro-spec and North American spec R56 Cooper S models.

The OEM air scoop works in conjunction with our airbox to seamlessly force cold air into our air intake system.  Air then flows through our high flow cone air filter, which utilizes an inverted cone design for maximum engine breathing.  Our CNC mandrel-bent aluminum intake pipe allows for smooth entry of cold air into the engine providing peak power gains ranging from 9-15HP.  All of the components included in the CTS air intake system work flawlessly together to provide increased horsepower and torque throughout the entire power band and an aggressive race-inspired sound.
